The radiator has left the building
Heat pumps, underfloor heating and glass walls: how the modern country home is quietly being rebuilt.

Heating you never see
Air source heat pumps and underfloor heating have replaced the radiator entirely in our homes. The gain is not only running cost: it is wall space, and the freedom to place furniture anywhere in a room.
Glass as a wall
Full-height glazing and sliding walls have moved from architectural flourish to expectation. The trick is orientation. Glass facing the wrong way is a heat problem; glass facing the paddocks is the best room in the house.

Rooms that change use
Home working did not go away. Every house type at New Builds includes a room that works as a study now and a bedroom later, wired and lit for both.
“The idea of home is evolving, and we want to evolve with it.”Phil Minchin, Managing Director
